Neutral Warning Light

The green neutral warning light has become intermittent on my 1150 ,. By trial and error I have discovered that when the light does not come on I can temporarily solve the problem by pulling the dash, indicating that it is a bulb/bulb wiring fault :.

Has anyone else had this?

Is there any other way of getting to the bulb without taking the headlight etc off?

When I do dig into there, what should I be looking for?

It may be a simple job but I hate electrics!!!!

Could be the wiring in the loom just under the dash.

Under the heatshrink covering, the wires are soldered together, and it only needs a bit of dampness to start it all corroding.
Usually by the time you notice anything ( instrument/idiot lights paying up) it's a nice green powdered mess.

Green and brown wire broken in 2 places How it was still working at all is beyond me!

One break on a crappy joint and one when it is bent and attached to the frame.

All sorted now

Give the man a cigar,been having a nightmare sorting out my electrics till i found this thread.

Lost my neutral light,battery light plus oil light bit by bit.

Stripped the cover back on the wiring and the green and brown wire fell apart in my hands

Twenty minutes later all done and all working
