I have just recieved a secondhand battery from James Sherlock. I wouldn't normally entertain secondhand where batteries are concerned but when I called enquiring what he had available, he offered a variety of new batteries including BMW's own, which is made by exide, he happened to mention he had a couple of secondhand batteries that he had taken of new machines he had broken, but couldn't sell as new, and so at £30.00 I thought I'd have a pop, It arrived today, looks like it just fell out of the packet and seems to be in perfect order.![]()
It's a BMW battery, which are £100 new
Its an Exide battery with a BMW roundal painted on it!Mine was 3 year old, looked like new worked like a fooked one!
The exide equivalent is £48.00

My Yuasa equivilents are less than £30
Chester Exhaust Supplies on a trade account admittedley.
If I'd wanted a yuasa I would have shopped for one, as it is I have purchased a battery that has been manufactured for BMW by exide at a fraction of the cost, Whats yer problem
The brainless F*%£wits that you come across on here from time to time, that s a bit unfair I know, cos if you had a brain you would see that from my original reply i was only offering my experience over the same problem, but there's always one D*&^$ad that has to stamp on a thread.

If I had wanted a second hand one I would have shopped for that too.As it was I got a brand new one same spec for less than a second hand one!
Whats your problem?
