Anyone else heard of this? Orderd new bike for Sept 1st and can't collect as ktm new system registration process down so cant be registered until, they sort???

Tell your dealer who you've paid your money to that you'll have an use their demo bike at their cost until your bikes available that'll turn the heat up and maybe push a button in the rite direction :D :thumb

Yes I already tried that one, they said they only coverd business hours!!

Are you sure it's a KTM issue and not a DVLA one?

I know that the DVLA no longer register vehicles via their local office so the dealer can't just walk in with the relevant paperwork and cheque. DVLA want it all to go through Swansea. It's causing some dealers serious problems

So a DVLA issue not a KTM UK one as your original post seemed to imply

Out of interest, on what date did you order your new bike?

My local dealer was talking about a potential 2 week hold up from point of order to point of delivery under the new system :blast

It seems it something to do with the new AVRL on line registration system, could be dealer related. Going back to the old system tomorrow hopefully!

I'm in the same situation in fact I'm guessing you got your bike Saturday afternoon and the guy was then going to Telford to deliver another one. Really hope they get it sorted tomorrow.

Read an article last week from the Scottish motor trade association. Some of their members were having 6 week delays in getting vehicles registered due to the new DVLA system

Lots of local DVLA offices have been closed.

A mate waited 3 weeks because he couldn't have his private plate transfered to his new car.
Busy time Sept 1st anyway.

:beerjug:

Sorted today the old fashioned way! Not waiting for number plate so got one made up and been out for a spin tonight. Hopefully be run in at weekend :)
