Picked her up from Vines yesterday - I've only managed to put 80 miles on her, but OH MY GOD this thing is great !! Now I've got to sit at work all day, while she's peering in the window looking at me...arrgh the agony !

I think I might develop a nasty cough in a minute, and have to leave the office... :nod

Shame about the colour :tears
Didn't they have any of the faster yellow ones left :thumb
Now you can really start to spend some money - Crash Bars -brighter lights-etc etc..........

Enjoy :bounce1

I reckon I was born to GS, as I had a set of nippy LED's at home before I got the bike !!! Lights were better on the Strom to be fair, so I expect I'll start dangling lightbars off her, like some Apocalypse Now chopper !!

Had to go up the tool shop and get some torx sockets to move the handlebars, other than that she fits me pretty well, although I can feel the shaft drive rubbing against my right heel, which is a bit odd !

Bike Fever

Congrats and enjoy. Great looking bike..........Don't listen to all those yellow peril owners.......Blue is best..............

Here are a few pics that I have just taken in the garage for you.

If you need some more taken from outside in daylight let me know. If so I will email them to you to save cluttering up the forum. Email at [email protected]

Nice bike Munchy - enjoy...! Oh and get yourself over to one of the meets pronto...!

Will do ! Always nice to get a bit of inspiration. I'm discovering that she's got plenty of power. I mainly noticed that this evening, when I left work and excitedly gave it the berries up the hill.

Cue the front wheel about a foot off the ground (well, it felt like a foot), and a pedestrian with his jaw on the ground. Good job he couldn't see the fear/giggling/what-the-hell-was-that expression on my face !

Really took me by surprise. So, a note for new GS'ers coming from 650's - do _not_ give it the berries in first !

first time I've seen a blue one with the side panels matched...
looks great!...

that kind of deluxe edition blue may even be able to keep up with the naturally faster red version... ;)

Cool ! where can I get me a set of those ? Oh - found them myself !

Also in a effort to avoid asking too many newbie questions I've been looking at extra driving lights and the GMTmoto mounts look good (and expensive!) with PIAA 510's - Can I ask what ones you've got there Nadeem ?

James.

James

they are the wunderlich lights, they sort of clip onto the indicator stalks - they're good to let drivers see you but not fantastic for illuminating the road too much, I have a set of PIAA HID Lights & bracket on order from Nippy Norm's (link above) - the wunderlich lights can be had from your local dealer (ask for a discount) or directly from the wunderlich uk site...

and feel free to ask as many questions as you like mate...

Nice. I like the no-splice tap feature. I've bought a few bits from NN's - great company to do business with.

I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, but I'm loathe to start hacking into wiring harnessses - she's too new !

I'm looking at these, or something similar...

And thanks - this is probably the friendliest forum I've ever seen !
