New Boots Needed

Hi All any one got any views on what boots to get as my old ones are just about cream crackered.

Looking for Moto X style and suitable for all year use, must also be able to walk in them and not end up looking like Robo Cop with a full nappy.

Sidi courier seem to get good reviews. Think they'll be my next pair. Using AlpineStars M6 at the moment...CRAP!

Sidi Couriers are a good blend of MX stylee with the ability to go walkabout in them.
Also,being black helps them to match with non MX clothing.
I had a crash while wearing mine,and although I cracked the ball of my ankle, the doctors said that with a less rigid boot I would either have lost my foot or it would have been pulped....my foot 'folded' under my bike....

Like the look of those and I'm looking to replace a pair of worn out Sidi's. Any body tried them?

Nope, I went to a local Dainese dealer a few days ago, but they didn't have them.

I may try another dealer one of these days, I'll let you know what I find.

139.99. bought a pr last week, took pukmiesters advice, i was going to buy a pr of savanna's, but will now spend the 60 quid saved on something else, (at ally pally no doubt!)

Gr8 boots though, very comfy. They do come up a bit bigger though.

Mine are HG Tuaregs but whats with putting the fasteners on the outside? Come on manufacturers it's far easier to sling one leg over the other then you can use both hands to fasten the connectors instead of fannying about with one hand.

Always worn either Alpine stars or Axo's and love them.
Now wear Alpine Stars Tech4 s rate them highly.
But also always wear dainese leg/shin protectors (highly recommend) due to compond fracture to tibia and fibula 19yrs ago.

Virunga D-dry boots

I'm slowly moving away from road orientated gear and need some new boots too.

These look really cool. I was going to buy some Alpinestars Tech 10's just because I like the look of them but these have put a question mark over that. Does anyone know where to get them as E212 is a hell of a lot cheaper than Tech 10's?

Eh? I use both hands to do up the fasteners on my Tuaregs. Wots the problem?

Plus, if they were on the inside and you walked with rather a mincing (oilhead rather than airhead ) gait, you'd be undoing your boots pretty quickly!

Couriers saved me a broken foot when the GS 650 I was riding up a steep hillside at the BMW offroad centre in Wales tried to kill me ... and I escaped with a badly twisted ankle. They also allowed me to ride home again afterwards but I had to change gear by moving my whole leg, and had to move the lever up two splines! (Thanks to the guy who offered me his Volvo to drive home while he rode my VFR back though - kind offer).

I found them a bit big and stiff for commuting though - afterwards my Daytonas felt like slippers (go with the pipe?). The Couriers were 100% waterproof. I had to get longer ratchet straps for my calves 'tho.

J&S at New Malden were doing them for about £150 I think. I sold them on ebay and might get Savannas next - any good?

I've been wearing couriers for about 3 years now, and have been really pleased with them. I used them with my road bikes, and just kept them for my GSA for on and off the tarmac. After taking a big spill a few months ago, and the bike landing on me (oops), I suffered only minor bruising from the footrest. Top stuff. Still use them every day.
