My 1100 GS was suffering from thin disks and resulting brake judder and fast pad wear.
Had priced disks some time ago from BMW and fainted. Last week phoned Motorworks about something else and remembered about my need of disks.
They sell a cast steel disk for the GS which is quite a lot cheaper than OE. Still expensive but better. I have fitted the disks with reccomended EBC double H pads and the disks are not expensive at all.
The improvement in braking performance is outstanding, why BMW ever considered using SS disks I will never know, they just look nice, I for one care not a jot about a bit of rust if better brakes area valiable.
Just thought I would share that with you all.
Happy motoring in 2004 to all
