This was the number I was given for my replacement engine in order to update the V5
122EN * 2616E018 *
Does that give any clue as to the spec of the engine they have fitted?
Whatever it means mine is the same with 024 at the end. I think they are 2016 engines

Nearly ....... My GSA was due in for a replacement engine on the 12th but was cancelled due to lack of engines
It was rescheduled for tomorrow but yesterday I had a call from NOG explaining that two of the engines they had recently replaced had sprung an oil leak between the starter motor and crankcase. It would appear that BMW have altered the design of the crankcases so the original starter motors (that they swap over from the old engine) are not seating correctly and subsequently leaking engine oil. My replacement engine will now not happen until the new starter motors arrive in Berlin which apparently is the 5th Oct with delivery to the UK a week later
It's a bit frustrating as I had set aside a couple of days at the end of this week to get the motor run in and hopefully serviced on the Saturday, but never mind. These things happen
PS on a more positive note I'm assuming that as the crankcases have been modified then these replacement engines must be to the latest 2017my spec (whatever that is)![]()
The replacement engine in my bike came with a brand new starter already fitted so that was lucky
What's your engine number?

Very strange that it already had a starter motor fitted![]()
