All being well I'll be picking it up next Saturday, a white one with the factory "comfort pack" :)

Nice one.. Congrats..
Had one of the first bumble bee yellow ones in early 2008, after owning all sorts of bikes (mostly sports) bought a KLR 650 & loved & rode it to bits, it was a slow old mount but had the most fun u can have on a bike at slowish speed... Anyway, moral of story is wanted something livelier.. Along came the BMW F800 GS, did 20k on it in very short time, often fully loaded..
You sir I'm sure will get the bug..
Enjoy the Rides.. :beerjug:

I love mine, 13k miles of happiness of year round riding.

This year will see my 40th concurrent year of riding, all year, all weathers. Between all my bikes I do about 5000 to 6000 miles or so per annum on each so roughly about 25000 per year. So this year will be my estimated millionth mile at some point :)

I "may" keep my Funduro for snow duties or may sell it, not sure yet :)

I had more fun yesterday on a bike than I've had in years ...... even though I'm running it in and couldn't exceed 5k rpm (80) ;) .... there are now no chicken strips on it :D

That looks like the bike I saw sitting at Williams waiting to get picked up on Saturday morning, I parked my white F800 right next to it. I went for a demo on a Standard GS1200 and apart from the effortless cruising on motorways or main A Roads and the front brake being stronger I prefer the 800 in most other aspects.

you forgot, it still has a chain. I think if the 800 had a shaft drive it would be perfect, thats assuming fitting a drive didn't effect the handling or performance.

Fit an Akrapovic end can, you won't regret it

Yep, well spotted that's the one :)

Needed a top box for commuting duties, but didn't want to pay £200 to £300 for BMW's offering :)

Off to eBay to bid on a brand new one from a dealer. Surprisingly no one else bid so I snaffled it for £11 .... sorted :)

Popped it on today and it's perfect with an included QD mounting too
