Looks nice for car use, but pretty useless on the GS:
Case: Consumer grade/not waterproof

More info on the Garmin site.

Cheers,

Hmmmmmm. Tom Tom Go anyone?

Interesting to see on the Garmin spec sheet that they even replicate the Tom Tom's 3D map view. I wonder it that feature will migrate it's way down to the other Garmin devices (like my Quest!) at the next system software update?

3D Mapping.

I've had it on my cars GPS for two years, it was a novelty at first but after a couple of months I found the 2D option was easier to see and understand when driving. I've not switched the 3D option back on since. :)

Navman had the 3D view on the iCN630 before Tomtom.

I agree this is a competitor for the Tomtom Go and also the Navman iCN510

I agree, 3D mapping is probably impractical and useless ('specially on the small Quest screen), but by gosh does it look cool?

Paul (I'll get me coat...):D
