Hi all

Thought I would introduce myself.
Been biking for 17 years or so, mainly sports bikes but now riding a VFR800 and have done so for the last 3 years. I've never been much of a BMW fan but whilst touring the Alps earlier this year borrowed a mates GS1200 for half a day and have to say I was well impressed. Now thinking of chopping in the VFR for a new(ish) GS1200.

Sure I'll have lots of questions to ask so thanjks in advance for your advice.:)

Hi Purds,

Guessing from your location you will probably be speaking to TJ or Jim from Balderstons about the 1200.

Very friendly dealership, I've always been very happy with their advice and service - In fact I'm on my way there in about half an hour.

Go for the 1200, you won't regret it :)

Speak to TJ ;)

And tell him you think he's lost weight :)

Welcome

12 is a great bike specially in red/black/black.

Don't ignore the 1150 GS or Adventure though. All are fantastic machines so take your time and try a couple more.

Skippy.

Nice to have another potential GSer aboard. Just one small piece of advice........... take a long test ride on a 1150 before you decide! :thumb
