NEW LIGHTS FITTED- - - - WOW

Firstly, I would like to thank those of you that have added your very positive feedback and kind comments to this thread, thank you.

Second, there is a very deep rooted reason as to why I do not want the supplier nor the prices of the lights disclosed on the site. It is simply a deal that I have struck with a Hella dealer, solely for the benefit of fellow tossers.

Thirdly, I would also like to add that I make no money nor am I on any form of commission, neither do I receive any free gifts from any of the suppliers that are detailed in the information that I send out.
It is purely done to save folk the hassle of searching on the site to establish where to buy all the necessary parts from.

Added to this are my own recommendations as to what lights to buy, based on my own and others peoples experiances, more fool me maybe?

xpi0t0s, You must be a very suspicious type of chap.Alan is a real craftsman, a genuine GSer, working hard to help fellow tossers.I am sure he doesn't have to fit soo many lights to earn the cash.I think he enjoys meeting and helping fellow bikers.xpi0t0s, you should "lighten up".

does he try to gauge how much you can afford then try to give you a right royal shafting?

sorry but I get very suspicious when people won't publish prices. If it has an honest price then in my opinion it can be published. If it doesn't have an honest price, well...

Fekkin amazing.....

As I'm commuting to/from work daily (throughout winter as well) and my travel times mean lots of dark rides in the winter, I was thinking of fitting/having fitted additional lights as well. However, I don't have crash bars, and don't intent to fit them. Still possible to fit the lights elsewhere?

Nice one matey.

Sorry Jimb, but I deleted my last comment as it was'nt big and it was'nt clever.

So I had second thoughts and decided that it was simple not worth the effort!

Then again maybe it was.............

xpi0t0s, if you want your lights fitted then its £100 to everyone else and £150 to you :redbone

Hows that for a right royal shafting then?

If I am reading this right, but you don't need crash bars to mount the lights.

Now I would tell you how and where else to mount them, but then I would have to shoot you :phazar

Get a grip please. BTBR didn't fit my lights, I have never met him, yet, but he helped me source the best deal in the UK for my lights. BTBR top chap :D

I dont got no steenkin' crash bars either. Can I still have extra lights on me 1100 Guv'nor? If so then expect a call from me near the end of summer, well assuming you aren't based in the outer hebrides or some other equally cold at all times of the year place.;) :D

Nice set of lights them.

Alan,
I`ve got the bmw spot lights fitted with the "ugly bmw switch on the handlebars" but could still do with a tad more illumination.
Would you still be able to fit a set of your driving lights underneath the fogs and use the indicator cancel as a seperate and independent switch for the driving lights?

Best wishes

Jon

no gs1200 lights yet....:(

I'll have to muddle along with my wunderlich lights...

Hi Jon

Sorry but I am getting confused here, exactly what are the BMW ones, driving, spots or fogs? As all of them have a very different beam pattern, you do need to know this before you slect your next set..

But in principle I don't see any reason why not? That said, I am not to sure if the BMW lights would foul on the MiGSel bracket or not?

Maybe then...........fit the MiGSel bar, fit the BM lights to the top (assuming that they are either driving lights or spot lights) and then fog lights underneath. Then wire the BM lights into main beam circuit, thus getting rid of that stupid switch on the top yoke?

You do not want either driving or spots lights as extra lights on dip beam, they are simply to bright and will dazzle other road users. Then if you point them down so as to avoid dazzling people they are simply useless.

IMHO. but you will not beat the Micro DE's for extra dip beam lillumination and also daytime running lights.

Hi Bigtrailbikerider I'm a very new GS owner of a 1999 1150 and work in Redditch. 3 or 4 Days per week I'm in a Hi Viz jacket. If I need any GS help mainly advice how easy is it to contact you? You must be my closest fellow GSer and you are well spoken of on here. Started looking at extra lamps (wired with dip beam only) for winter road riding. Please reply on or off site.
