Been a fruitful day today.
Second coat of
Drab Olive applied to the
tank and side panels so they are almost finished ( just a second coat
of the underneath of the tank tomorrow) and a darker colour now

.
Decided to crack on and remove rear wheel for the new TKC80...but what a
PITA ( I think the bike was built around this wheel and tyre - lol )!!
Firstly, rear rack stops the wheel from coming out and the rack ( only 1mm between tyre wall
and shaft - same the other side with the calliper torsion bar ) is virtually
one wrap around piece of engineering...so rather than modify that, I decided
to cut 90mm off the bottom of the mudguard; this enabled the rear wheel
( once deflated ) to be removed ( also centre stand on 1 inch of wood and
silencers removed) !! 4.00 X 18 TKC80 is about 13mm narrower then the 120/90 so will go on easily
Then applied special primer ( for fibreglass )... and will
Drab Olive this tomorrow.
... and heres the myriad of racking as it stands now !!
Badges on tank ( plus new petrol tap etc ) and some black paintwork to tidy up the rear end,
then I can move onto the front mudguard.......getting there
