New R1200GSA running in question.

I agree

Don't be too gentle and rev it resonably hard through the gears. Don't sit on the motorway for long stretches and stick to A roads where you are up and down the box.

Quick oil change at 300 miles to clear the shit out and then repeat above procedure.

In for it's 600 service then thrash the shit out of it:thumb

I agree, don`t go over the written RPM limits but keep it buzzing up there then give it a good thrashing - seemingly also worked for me

Wow, only my 3rd post and 63 replies, sheet, I must be doing something right :)

Bloody ell, not a single WC has been delivered yet and the daft questions are already being duplicated :D

Thinking about fitting a carbon fibre Touratech/Wunderlich water cooling system to my 2013 WC 1200GS Adv. Anybody any info on how good they are and how easy they are to fit? Can't beat Touratech/Wunderlich gear expensive but worth it:D

will using anything other than BMW water invalidate the warranty? if so what do we use, i have a nice Evian resting in the cellar?

HELP I have just topped up the water in my 2013 BMW WC1200GS Adv with Perrier (still of course) and had previously topped it off it with Evian. Is this mix of coolant likely to cause problems with my oil temperature? OK I'm going to stop now:D

You foolish person. Those are French waters. What were you thinking ? You've probably voided your warranty before the bike has even been delivered !!!:blast

1. Insert petrol

2. Ride around at varying speeds, rpm, and throttle positions until nearly out of fuel

3. Go to step 1

4. When due service, have it serviced

This is not bigger than Ben Hur :)
