Yes...I bet they are jumping up and down...again

I pointed out in an earlier thread that Brembo/KTM and Ducati have been far from innocent when it comes to recalls etc.

Not that it has stopped one or two on here pointing fingers at every opportunity, thinking their bikes are beyond reproach...

Waste of time replying to the haters, just feeds the trolls :)

The same 'appalling build quality' that's fitted to Ducati's and KTM's?

And why mention KTMs ? Got nothing to do with BMW building bikes that fail before they leave the showroom.

Not just BMWs, but you would think so. I had a 28k Harley delivered to me, keyless, kill switch wouldn't work, so to switch it off, either stall it in 1st or kick out side stand. Callipers (Bremebo) leaking, how long to fix, 8 fu***** weeks. But hey only BMWs have a shite build quality. I won't bore you with the 4 recalls and 6 warranty claims in the first 2 years and every claim had to have photo evidence and then agreed by Harley, which resulted in multiple journeys to the dealer. But BMW are shite, hey ho!

Funny how owners of the GS always have to bring other makes into these threads. Like that’s any sort of justification. :blast

Maybe I’m lucky but my 15 plate GSA has 40 k on it, 30 by me and it’s never had a single fault ??

Previous I’ve had 6 GS of varying types and only trivia ever.

Has quality dropped in last few years ??

Not surprised if you’ve only done 30 miles on it, FFS !! :-)

I think quality has been dropping year on year for decades !!!

My new GSA1200 in 2006 was kindly delivered with rusty pannier frames.
My new K1300S in 2009 came with indicators that failed 2 miles after leaving the showroom.

Yet my R1100GS Anniv looked like new when I bought it at about 12 years old.

PCP combined with owners possessing a degree of Scottishness have been the downfall.....:-)

Does look bad, but its the only brand of Bike that doesn't need any hard sell...you could put the village idiot as main salesman and they would still hit target, most of em wont get out of their chairs or give you a glance when you walk in, because they know you will go to them, cost cutting on components and quality not as it was maybe but it wont stop them selling in huge numbers

I wish to apply for said position !!! :blast
