Lovely looking bike

Needs some after market pipes though, otherwise you'll miss out on the aural thrill :thumb2

centauro

love em, had two, one was yellow with blue wheels the other was a sport.. good engine, nice power at 5000rpm.. :D

enjoy it

ps. loose the red grips. :D:D

Not to be a Pain and put the bike down but check the front wheel bearings !!

They "were" open type instead of rubber sealed on the one I got the bruise in the picture below from,
The front wheel bearing collapsed just as I changed up a gear exiting a corner! Thank The Deities that I was only exiting! I'd been "Hmmmmm??????", lets say tramping on 25 seconds earlier!!!

Bruisesmall.JPG

thats about 18 inches around from my appendix scar at the right side of the photo to my back at the left side by 5 or 6 deep

So my advice drop the front wheel out and feel for roughness in the bearings and change them if you feel ANY at all

Otherwise a superb motorcycle especially if ya soften the back shock and actually let the damper do it's thing! instead of the tyre giving ya suspension :aidan

I wish you Health to ride it!

one guzzi i always wanted.one day ;)
i test rode a new one from 3x wimborne.it was an early one with terrible fueling which put me off. i wish i had bought it now as the fueling was easy to sort.:blast :tears
very nice.:clap:clap:clap

Sold my Griso today - cash needed for new GS. Loved and missed already. Will definitely have another Guzzi soonish - fancy an oldie next time.

Bugger, first I find myself leering at pictures of a Griso, and now I land on this thread.:blast

Nice looking Guzzi.

Lovely Guzzi engine:thumb Give me a Beemer flat twin or a Guzzi engine to look at and I'm a happy man:o

Nice looking machine :thumb

Am I right in that it has mismatched tyres???

Looks like a Metzeler MEZ4 on the rear. If so, get rid asap. Lack feel and give very little confidence IME, especially on a bike like that. There must be far better options :nenau

Eyes open

Flip, you really have been looking closely, indeed they are mismatched with a MEZ4 on the back and a 014 on the front.

There's a few other things I want to check over closely before I start to have too much fun

Check out a centre stand (Teo Lammers?) or a bike lift
Wheel bearings (see previous posts)
Cambelt tension
Oil pump gear wear
Get to a Dyno (came with about 3 different chips and a PowerCommander)
Service and generally get to know the bike, hope it's a keeper.

Now I have one, plenty of time, get it right, you dont see them too often

Nick
