New year, new project bike

I’ve just had a speed read over the thread,
Just over a year since Ian had the basic throw together from us.
His attention to detail and further tweaks are outstanding,
A lovely bike, and I’m sure after shaking down it will be absolutely fit for purpose,
I hope you can bring yourself to get it dirty?
Following in the footsteps of tetley,
Despite the images of his immaculate bikes he absolutely uses/trashes them(even the HPN)

Cheers Mikeyboy, that’s praise indeed from the airhead meister himself 😁.

Definitely going to be used in anger, already booked on two off-road events this year and a trip round the high military roads in the alps is in the making👍

Next up, Grunhilde, the green meany

That looks lovely…… have fun getting it dirty, I’m sure it’ll be great.

Well, it got a good thrashing too. Took it to northern Spain for a week’s trail riding. Performed really well up until the coil developed a fault (now sorted). Great bike to ride on challenging trails, very easy to ride, tons of low down torque and the suspension was great. Happy 😁

Great t9 see it getting properly used.
A great looking bike, being used properly is a wonderful thing to see.

Ride safe

wow - 8mm .. I thought my 5 mm plates I've made up in the past were aiming for bombproof :)

It's a nice looking build .. which bar risers do you have there? .. looks like a rise and offset to rear?
Custom made ones done at the same time as the yokes

Busy year planned for the project bike in 2025, events lined up so far include a Spanish Mega Mondo in June with Austin Vince, le Grand Vadrouille in France with Cocoricorando (also in June), a Vince in Spain with Austin in September, and finally a fortnight in Morocco with Dorothy’s Sppedshop in November. Happy days👍👍👍

What are the rest of you doing on your airheads this year?

Very sad to announce that this bike is now for sale. I don’t want to sell it at all, it only has about a thousand miles on it since it was built (at an expense that makes my eyes water when I add it all up). If you’re interested drop me a PM. I’ll list it in the for sale section later. Only reason for selling it is because registering it in France has turned into an expensive and bureaucratic nightmare 🙁
