Hi guys,

Is there a decent option for lowering the seat slightly on an 1150 GSA or is the best option to go for a gs. I've seen a couple of sites offering a lower option but they are usually wider and then offering no benefit for a short inside leg measurement.

Cheers

Andy

Sorry to be a pain, will a standard gs two part seat go straight on to a gsa frame or are there any mods to do and how much would this lower the bike by?

The 1150GSA came with the option of either seat style from the factory so i think it will be the ancilliary seat parts you will need for the two piece. The seat could also be specced as a ADV low seat so there will be bikes out there with this option. It was black and had a distinct dip for the rider and a lower and narrower feel than the standard and took it down to normal GS height.

A major part of lowering your bike is the seat profile. The low seats are more bevelled to allow shorter legs to go downhill quicker:augie I am a lanky bastard so don't need such things but the low seat was an effective option.

If you have a standard seat stick a message for a swap on the Wanted or parts forum as you might find a tall bloke has the short seat on his ADV.

Lowered bikes have limited resale. I've got a low seat on mine and some bigger boots:JB! Works fine.
