Hi all.

Took the 1100 out today and after a few miles I had no clutch, like a broken clutch cable, but it isn't that

The cable is fine at both the handle bar and gearbox as there is movement as normal.

Could there be a fault in the release mechanism preventing the clutch from engaging?

Any ideas:confused:

Ps full clutch replacement 7000 miles ago

Check the adjuster bolt is still in place or may have become unscrewed at the rear of the gearbox.

Or maybe the clutch actuation arm/lever has snapped. Quite a common thing on 1100s. They are cast ally. It happened to mine and was replaced with a steel one from Motorworks

Turns out the Actuation arm had snapped as mentioned by Mark:bow

Alex is that Locknut "nipped" up ?? probably an optical illusion but there looks to be a gap

Good Luck and Many miles for her :aidan

I never fitted my steel replacement. Is it possible to do it with the swinging arm in place? I would guess not as even adjusting it is a bit of a fiddle, but you never know!

Havent had it out of the garage yet. Will make sure all is ok before taking it out.

Thanks for pointing that out:blast

Managed to get it out without removing any thing. Getting it back together was another saga, everything off, caliper, wheel, shock, etc all for 1 feckin bolt:mad:
