Can anyone shed some light on this!!!!!!!!

Went out this morning to start bike not problem neutral light and oil lights came on and oil temp and fuel gauge has lights all ok but no head light indicators or brake lights or dash lights would work and hazard button not alight.
Checked fuse's all seem ok looked at loom but could not see anythings as dark at five this morning.......

faulty relay maybe, if you do a search there is a word doc done by Fanum (I think) that shows the fuse and relay positoins in the fuse box, it may help locating the problematic relay.

Don't know had to leave it at home luckly still had my CBR600 that i'm going to sell in the summer.

will find out when i get home tonight and have a better look.

better look now

Have come home from work had a fiddle with the wires around the head stock moved the handle bars side to side and still have nothing.
Have removed all the fuses and all the relays to see if it was a dry joint also have removed the tank to look at wirring connetctors under there.

If i press the horn button can hear the relay clicking but nothing more nothing else works on the handle bars.
found out if i turn the key through the two steering lock positions the side light comes on then but nothing else.

can only think its going to be the relays is there one that covers all? is it possiable to change them around to see if its one of them and where can i get a replacement from.

thanks for all your help

Mick

If you have a look at the relays, and as long as they have the same part No's on them, there should be no problem in swopping them about.

what model do you have and I'll see if I have any documentation that maybe of use

PM me your email

What model

I have a V reg 1150gs import not able to see whats on the relays as at work but when i get home i will have a look.

Just had a idea when i used it last the left side indicator was flashing faster than the right just like one bulb had go both working ok though don't know if that has somethinking to do with it.

Load relay

Can any one tell me what the load relief relay is and is it possiable that is whats wrong with my lights?

Mick

Its a relay which shuts off all the unecessary electrical devies when activating the starter so as to relieve the load on the battery.

Since the items you list are 'unnecessary' then they could be affected by a duff relay.

Nothing works.

You do not say wether the engine runs?, if the starter is also affected and the horn relay cliks, sounds like a dead battery. I know it sounds obvious but you do not say wether it starts.
