is displayed until the oil level is detected as being correct again. According to chapter 3 pg 20 item no 8 symbol 2 is displayed in the warning symbols section of the lcd screen. Chapter 3 pg 29 and 34 refer to oil level being too low and advice to check oil level.
Yes, you are correct sir. No mention of the oil pressure. But oil flow and oil pressure goes hand in hand. If the oil pump fails to pick up any oil then the oil level is low and you will have warning on the dash. If you have a failure within the engine and loses oil (provided you have not noticed any noise and a sliding rear wheel already) then the same scenario as above regardless of where the oil go. In the latter case the engine would be FUBAR anyway. However as with all electrickerty that can go wrong, a good old mk1 eyeball on the sight glass before setting off is the best thing.
