Made it to Romania
Hi all and thanks for Celcius and L for their offer of help in Istanbul.
The bike is fine, tappets still sounding but running strong. We're in Northern Romania at the moment, heading through Moldova into the Ukraine tomorrow. I've got the old girl booked into a Motorrad dealer in Kiev for Tuesday for news tyres and check up, so they should beable to sort anything major then.
BMW Kiev were a little odd however, as they said they could change the tyres but could not supply them and did not know where I could find some! Does anyone know of any where in Kiev or surrounding area I may beable to find some?
Also some photos of our trip below.
Our route up to Istanbul. 8500miles covered. Need to put up to Romania on!
Lost on the way into Istanbul city! Some very helpful locals sorted us out though!

Glad the bike's running fine and that you've found a place for a 'pit stop' - afraid I can't help with sourcing tyres - how odd for a dealer to not know where to get them!
Hopefully someone on here will be able to give you some pointers.

If only the Mrs would allow a few months on tour rather than the odd week or so, I suppose that's selfish tho...........isn't it.
I don't think it helped when I said I always find the hardest part of any "proper" bike trip is having to turn around and come back.....oops.
