Hi everyone, not sure what`s caused this so thought i`d ask the question. On starting my 2006 1200 GS this morning i noticed the front main light was out. I rode to work on full beam, (LAMPF) on the display. After getting home and switching of my bike it then failed to start a short time later. I have changed the front lamp and it still shows (LAMPF) on the display. The bulb lights up when i turn the ignition on, but goes out as immediately. My bike will not start, however the other lights, horn work.
Could it be the battery? I have it on charge at the moment.
Any advise please, Andrew

Last time I had a LAMPF error, it didn't reset until the engine was started after changing the lamp.

The lamp doesn't operate until the engine runs, so presumably this is the point where the software measures the running current of the working lamp and clears the previous alarm status.

Non-starting is probably the battery being undercharged, thats the easiest thing to eliminate by recharging and then see what happens.

Good luck with it.
