Does anybody use the guys in Norwich who set up on their own when Linds closed & we lost the only bloody dealership for about 60 miles.
Need it servicing by recognized guys I guess to keep my years warrenty valid.

I have used them on my last 2 bikes which were both out of warranty, and I plan to use them on my new bike for it's 6000 mile service.
I understand that even though they no longer work for a dealer, that the bike will still be covered under the warranty because they are BMW trained and certificated.
Mike.

P.s, I saw a White GS in Harleston yesterday, anyone on here?

I was in Harleston but on a black one :)

What sort of rate do they charge how competive with main dealer .

Yet another dealer about an hour away from here...

Equidistant from Ipswich, Colchester and Hertford, and Norwich!

Been using SWB Motorrad in Hertford, as they're near a customer, so line it up with a business trip...

How do these guys compare to an official dealer?

I have never used an official dealer so I can't answer that, but these guys are good. :D

Mines a black 2003 1150 GS

Sawbridgeworth BMW in Hertford are blody expensive for servicing. Their labour rate is in the region of £70 per hour including VAT

You've got to be kidding robin barstewards reckon the fitter gets about £9 if he's lucky.

The last service I had done at KRF cost about £92, I think it was an 18,000 mile on my r1100s.

Noddy, I think the white GS I saw was not an ADV, it didn't have white panniers and it had a givi type top box.

Givi top box and a 650 next to it?.... I live about 3 miles from that one and mines Blue!

Apparently the owner is sommat to do with one of the BMW/GS clubs so I need to go and knock on his door! (but I'll wait till I'm on the 1200 before I do!)

The only problem with KRF is that they do not have the BMW diagnostic equipment, so if you have an electronic/software issue, they cannot help. Other than that they are good guys. Another option,Balderstones do a pick up service on Fridays in Norfolk, you loose your bike for a week, but I don`t see that a problem tis time of year. john
