Just become the owner of an 07 Norge. So it would appear I won't have to worry about final drive failure.

Moto Guzzi, making mechanics out of riders since 1921

Been looking at Norges for when I return to UK; seen an 17K 07 for 4400GBP (at B'ham Triumph on Autotrader) which looks like a bargain IMHO.

How are you getting on with yours? Personal question - how tall are you as I am 6' 6" and haven't even sat on one yet!

New to Guzzis; any known faults/foibles?

Thanks

A

I recently bought an 06 Breva, which is basically a Norge without a fairing. Weather protection with a decent screen is surprisingly good and they are nicer looking and a lot cheaper!

That's why I chose my Breva, it's more of a do anything bike, I previously had a R1100RT, which was great, but you would be glad you were on it on the motorway, but when you got to the A roads, wish you were on something with less fairing, despite its size the weight is really low down, and it's the first bike I have owned where the standard seat is more comfortable without an Airhawk than with one!

Engine wise it becomes lumpy at under 2k Rpm, and seems a decent amount more go than the RT, though mine has no cat and a straight through guzzi exhaust,
downsides are that the suspension is budget and could be better, clocks can mist up on early models, but there is a mod, chrome on the stanchions is to soft, so can chip, early models had a carp fuel filter that swells up and fails, but most should be changed out by now, 2 valves motors are strong but less powerfull than the 4 valves, there has been lots of cam problems with 4 valve motors

Unlike the BMW's if you turn the ignition on and the bike doesn't recognise the code in the key, you get to manually imput a 6 digit code to enable you to start the bike, you must set the code to one you can remember before hand, using the menu and two of the coded keys,

Actually they are very much like a BMW, without the saggy tits!
