Sorry to ask - please don't shout too much if already covered in several (hundred?) other threads.

I'm wearing out my OEM Anakee2 tyres on my '10 GSA. Don't really do any off-roading proper so replacement boots that would be 90% road, 10% trail would be preferable, but I've considered full road tyres.

Has anyone fitted full road tyres to an Adventure (BT-020, 021, 023 etc?), if so - any feedback (apart from 'buy a proper road bike, you oddball') Or any strong views (wait for the torrent of replies!) on which road biased adventure tyre is best (Trail Attack, Road Attack, more Anakees, Tourance etc...).

I know an awful lot depends on the personal prefrences of each of us, but any advice very welcome!

Thanks

Freddie

had road attack 2, really good, but now have roadsmarts on and they are the business. did a track day last week and was overtaking R1's on the inside even with their knee down. My knee is no where near the ground !!
spend 99% on roads, the odd time on a gravel road but dont find much difference from full road tyres to dual purpose.......

your choice where you spend the most time and where you need your tyre to perform.

I have tried Bridgestone Battlewings, Conti Trail Attacks and Dunlop Roadsmarts. All were OK. I preferred the Battlewings over the Trail Attacks but the road biased Roadsmarts are better than both wet or dry for just tarmac riding.

There are so many variables for riding style and what you want out of a tyre such as mileage, grip etc. Mine will be the first of many extremely different views so be prepared to be more confused than before.

Edit: Ok mine will be the second.....

Road Attacks good; the RA1 lasts better than the RA2. Dunlop Roadsmarts are also v. good. Michelin Road Pilot 1's are dirt cheap, 3's are a kings ransom. Take your choice.
