NT1100 2025 model updates

arsey is never alone in the cockpit thats why he can cope with the buttons :D

I’ve got to say, the screen in my 25 model is rubbish. I had a trip to the west coast of Scotland over the weekend. About 650 miles.
I don’t get buffeting , but a heavy vibration on my visor above 45-50 mph. It’s happening when I’m riding with the wind coming from the side especially. Can’t even read a number plate ahead of me due to the vibes.
I used to ride a lot with the sunshade down and the visor up. Can’t do that now as it lets to many bugs straight at me.

So after a 3K 10 day trip to the south of France and Spain 3 weeks ago on the Tiger sport 800 ive heen hearing a few problems from other owners.one resulted in the complete bike being replaced, so in an attempt to not turn them into my problems I traded it in for a new NT manual without electronic suspension, but with the voyage pack in the blue with quick shifter and the Honda sticker kit, got a reasonable deal and its being delivered next Wednesday, another massive pull towards the NT is not only is it a Honda its its now got a 6 year warranty (as long as you have it serviced in accordance with the Honda schedule) which I always do, Apple car play for me is a massive bonus, ill get used to the switch gear,
Ive still got the 2024 Transalp fully loaded with wilbers suspension which I Love and will keep and will use for shorter rides, work and general rides and the NT for longer ones 2 up and touring, already been on the interwebs ordering loads of stuff for it

Rad guard
Fender extender
alloy Resi cover
Shortie levers
top box liner
Rim stickers
Alarm
small no plate
Alloy dipstick
Side stand fat foot
reflective pannier stickers
Denali Hooter
Fuse block
screen lip (just incase)
And a pair of Road 6GT tyres the originals are Sportsmax and ive found them to be shite

I also have an NT.
the Honda sticker kit include wheel rim stickers, and pannier stickers. They look good on the blue one.
I had a trip to France last week and did a little over 2000 miles. It is a very capable bike.
If I may be so bold as to offer a couple of pointers.
The voyage pack includes a comfort seat. This does take a while to break in.
When using tour mode it can be a bit snatchy on the throttle, using urban mode improves this.
Obviously, you have the wrong model. 🤪. The DCT - ES is a better bike. Both on the suspension and gearbox.
I can’t see the point in a manual bike now. I love the DCT.👍

Enjoy the new bike Rob.
How are you finding low speed stuff Steve? Mine is a 2024 DCT and 5 months in, I still struggle with anything between 20-45mph (a pain round here with all the 20 and 30 villages and small towns) Open roads, superb, you'd really not know it was only 100hp (I've tried all riding modes, asked a few tuning firms who can't re-map it due to DCT)

I do think it’s snatchy. I tend to use urban mode in town to smooth it out.
Yes. It’s not perfect, but it’s an absolutel bargain for wat it is. 👍

I have no interest in one of these but yes, it does seem very well priced….maybe my mind will be changed at some point??

I test rode the DCT earlier this year. Too many buttons, took me 10 minutes to find the indicators. But, I could live with that. Liked the DCT, which was why I wanted to test ride it. Screen was too low for me, 6'2” and, found the seat rather uncomfortable.
So overall, I could have made the changes and been happy.

But, the one thing I did not want was chain drive. That was the ride that convinced me that I wanted shaft for convenience. If it had shaft drive, I would have put my money down.
So I bought a 1250GSA and to be honest, I am glad I did, the GSA is everything I personally want, but the Honda would have been a reasonably close second, if it had shaft drive.

In theory I’m collecting my blue DCT ES this weekend from Bill Smiths. I lived with the snatchy throttle on my Goldwing for 28k miles so should be ok with NT. After all, with an extra 5yrs development on my GW Honda will have it sorted:augie

Hoping to be able to dial out, or at least reduce, any snatchy throttle via engine settings. Rain mode on the GW made town riding much nicer.

I heard that alot when I had my Africa Twin DCT for 7.5 yrs. I had considered it when buy the bike, after many years of GSs...but it tuned out to be a bit of bollox in reality.
The original chain and sprockets lasted about 18k miles, it really was very minimal maintenance, pop it on the centre stand and a wipe and lube took 90 seconds. The odd adjustment took 4 or 5 minutes (maybe did 4 in its life?) 2nd C and S were still OK at 22k miles. So over 7.5 yrs it maybe took an hour in day to day maintenance...plus an hour to put a new set on (that cost c£110)...and I quite like the odd hour tinkering in the garage so all good.

@ Adventure boy and Boxer.

Even if you do nothing else on the bike, change the screen for a puig touring screen. It’s a 100% improvement.

I’m surprised at that comment Re the Goldwing throttle. Mine was fine.

...or an MRA with the flip bit at the top. I have, it is superb (6ft, 33" inseam)

Aaahh but. Be careful making comments like that…..apparently the 25 model screen is totally different, and a lot worse than the previous versions.
I tried a flip visor before I got the puig and found it didn’t cure the vibration problem on the helmet.

Eh....I replaced the screen with an MRA one that comes complete with the spoiler bit...not just the spoiler.

I see, I just tried a flip visor. It didn’t solve the problem
