I agree that it was disappointing, especially having hacked over from Manchester via Stranraer, but the weather doesn't answer to mankind.
I wouldn't fancy riding a BSB spec superbike in those conditions, and neither would many a sane man. What racing was seen, red flags permitting, was as goos as ever.
I didn't buy a programme this year either, but spend the money on Guinness on Saturday night instead.
At least this time i made it to Joey's bar, and the memorial garden, which was enough to justify the whole trip. Well, that and the annual filling of the ferry with bikes, which is always an amazing site. It must be for the people of Stranraer, despite terrible conditions they were out in force again this year to wave us off the ferry Sunday afternoon.
So, crap weather, expensive programmes, not enough racing. I'll be back next year, of course
