And all cars must be bright yellow.... no?
here's an idea car driver, just open ya fuckin eyes and we don't need to dress like twats.

ahhh i feel better now 🤣

Edit:
just read you dont have to wear it while riding....

Effective October 1, the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) in Spain requires all motorcyclists to carry an approved high-visibility reflective vest on their bike. Riders are not legally required to wear it while actively riding, but they must put it on when stepping off the vehicle onto the roadway or shoulder during emergencies on interurban (country or rural) roads.

That poster is confusing as he's wearing one.

Who the fuck is Rosemary Boardman and who the fukking fuck are the "UK Bikers Touring in Europe blah blah" Facebook group ffs's. You do know everything on Facebook is fictional and AI don't you. Believe anything on that vile platform, you'll believe owt.

Spanishtrafficlaw is just a fekkin Facebook Group whose editorial headquarters could be in a bedsit in Rotherham for all we know. Any Cnut could make that page up.

( Should this news be actual, real, truthful, non misinterpreted and twisted, factual news , then please accept my full and humble apologies .I will also eat my shorts).

High-Visibility & Breakdown Rules
  • While Riding: Wearing a hi-vis vest or reflective clothing is completely optional.
  • Breakdowns: If you break down on the hard shoulder or an intercity road, Spanish law dictates that you are a pedestrian when off the bike. In these situations, you are legally required to wear a hi-vis vest to make yourself visible to passing traffic.
  • Planning to cross into France? If your route takes you into France, you must legally carry and wear a hi-vis vest while riding

Well, the feller on JBs photo is properly covered, he is wearing one and has a magic one on the rear rack that dunt need owt to hold it in place.
Depending where you look...everyone on two wheels needs to wear one, or professionals need to wear one and private riders don't but can carry it in their top box but must have it on when they step off the bike (I wanna see some of UKGSers finest athletes managing to stay astride their steed whilst rummaging in their topbox to extricate the sneaky vest...then put it on...then get off and........SPLAT....shit, they weren't quick enough and got hit by a truck)

Well, they are incorrect about Hi Viz in France for starters so I'll ignore the rest of what they write and check it out myself.
Legally, you are required to carry one...but do not have to wear it unless broken down
This from the French Govt website -

To ride a motorcycle, you must have a high visibility vest on you or in a storage of your vehicle. The vest must wear the CE marking.

Failure to comply with this rule is punishable by a fine up to €38. In general, this is a lump sum fine of €11.

Another rock solid official source .

My arse.🤗

Just out,
“More outrage from UK bikers over other country’s new rules.
Last week thousands of bikers did nothing but complain about new Bluetooth headphone rules, now outraged by having to carry a high-vis vest on their bike.”

If in doubt consult the N332 spanish site run by police speaking English or set out to read in English all new and old rules in Spanish roads.
Carry a fuel can but only an empty one....
That maybe france mind.
Lad at Sids doo last year got 100 yo yo for not wearing gloves while riding in 35c+

I always carry a bib for everyone in car.
Hopefully not to be seen dead in one...

And a pair of triangles (uk registered vehicles don't need the new flashing lights)
Gu Steady and enjoy yer trips

I toured France last month
Passed a few Gendarme vehicles
Wasn’t wearing a Hiviz vest - i don’t own one
Was I stopped ….NO

Bright lights, to be seen and (most probably) dazzle…. Great, mate, awesome.

A hi-viz vest to use in an emergency…. Shit, mate, total shit.

Having had to assist with a motorcycle and pillion, who had crashed dramatically on a blind bend off a fast Luxembourg country road at dusk. I would have worn a pink tutu and fired flares from my bollocks, if it in any way increased my chances of not being hit.

Interestingly, or not…. Three friends, walking down the very dark public road from Arnage car park at Le Mans, were stopped by a French police motorcyclist. The fellow advised them to wear something reflective, as he didn’t see them until he was all but on top of them. It was all very polite and, undoubtedly he had their best interests at heart. The next day, they did wear the reflective vests from their cars.

It’s easy to be smart, lying in a hospital bed.
