Use the sat-nav for the first time in a 2 months on the bike yesterday and found the intercom was not working and sat-nav was not being charged - looks like there is an issue with my accessory power being fused - arse!
The Autocom 300 intercom does not have a fuse (should be taken care off by the CAN-BUS magic), but the Garmin 660 does. Both of these are soldered in parallel to the back of the accessory socket under the tank (intercom was done like this by NOG and i added the GPS) and covered by plenty of self-amalgamating tape.
On the way home - still nothing. Took off the fake-tank panel & switched ignition on, still nothing. Removed the fuse from the sat-nav & switched on the ignition, the intercom worked. Put the fuse back in, they both work.
Any ideas what i'm missing / why this happened?
(even a short on the fuse shuldn't cause an issue)
