By the way have you got an ADV? - I have and have not changed the oil yet - mine has BM Bars - just wondering what probs they cause and if they have to be removed for the change - I'm sure that they do.

On the Oil - I have always used GPS in the three R's that I have had - although in my Airheads I use Mobile 1, - expensive fully sythetic car oil.

Cheers

I haven't got any crash bars on my bike - all i need to take off is the sump guard. My bike is the regular 1150GS in the very wonderful blue & white colour scheme - I think I may have seen you at the Weyhill Fair bash a few weeks ago.

My last bike was an R1100R - I phoned SPC when I cought it (privately) and they advised on exclusive use of GPS and NOT to use synthetic oil - I have stuck with this ever since.

Years ago when I had a succession of airhead Beemers, I used to use Castrol GTX.

cheers - phil (6X)
