Oil & Filter Change

What sort of oil??????

As the manual is a bit vauge on oil type I phoned Clarks M/C. There recommendation was 15-40 to API SG Spec. After a quick troll along the shelves in a car spares shop the nearest I could find was 15-40 API SJ. Anybody know the differance. Or is it all oil & get on with it as I am only using the oil for top ups.

I think the recommended oil is Castrol GP, not sure what the viscosity code is.

Takes a bit of finding in bottles larger than 1 litre. I picked up a 5 litre from Fowlers in Bristol, they do mail order also I think.
