Yeah basic stuff I know but changing the oil filter on the st. When fitting do the rubber ends on the filter get compressed when tightening up. As the new filter I am fitting is one piece and the old one was a two piece one and it seems a tad too long. Cheers in advance

With Oil cooler or without ?

OX35(Straight) and OX37(Bendy) are without and can be interchanged IF I recall correctly

OX 36 (Bendy) is with oil cooler and is a fair bit longer

Thank you. no oil cooler, I have the right filter, will have another look later. the one i was fitting was making the cover not sit flush on the engine.

Did you get both rubber end gaskets?

Check in the filter tube at the spigot shaft and see if there is still one on there

Yes but will check in case there is an extra one. Which judging by what I have found so far would not surprise me. Thank you again.
