Oil filter tool?

Thanks and more thanks

to everyone that has provided excellent feedback.

I now have oil, filter and some knowledge and enthusiasm on standby.
Lacking only the filter wrench (or an approved solution as per the nut&epoxy)..... Oh, and the bike with some mileage on it!! ;)

John - though you are sure the wrench you picked up fits the filter, will it fit in the working space? I understood this to be the issue rather than finding a suitable tool?

More thanks also on standby for delivery as appropriate.

If you have a friendly Renault dealer, you could borrow the filter removal tool from them.

I've never heard of anyone TORQUEING an oil filter. Jeez, isn't that a bit extreme or has yet another bit of modern technology passed me by?

Eddy.

Yes it will. It is a cup type, similar to the old 1150 type, but made of pressed steel rather cast aluminium or zinc.

Thanks John.

Gavin, perhaps a helpful BMW dealer would be as/more appropriate?
