Oil Filters

Hola,

Does any one have a list of Oil filters that will fit a R1100GS/R850GS, with the correct filter area and particle size.

I know there is an earlier thread on here about oil filters. One lists filters that fit but doesn´t say if the specs are correct. Then it all turns too childish, and before any one starts again, i want to know alternative brands and model numbers because i am in Brasil, and official supplied filters cost 50 Quid!!! and no that´s not a typo.

Didn´t pick up a spare the last counrtry as i wasn´t expecting to still be riding but , there are worse reasons, for a thread like this!

Hi Mike, I use Mann & Hummel filters (mainly because I sell them) they make OE filters for BMW,Mercedes,etc and the use of their filters will not invalidate a manufacturers warranty even on a brand new bike.
The link below shows the suitable filters and I've included contact details for South America.
