Aww Chewey, bless, you only just missed us, was hopin to get there by 10 at the latest but nick needed fuel on the way and got held up by 20mph drivers
Those power rangers were still there, we have got to know 1 or 2 over the last yr or so, so we do get a hello now and then but not from all of them, some peeps are simply too good for us gsers
If the weather is dry like today we will get down there by 10 next wk ok, will look out for your new yellow ride, look forward to it

woohoo not working tomorrow, going to southampton to collect the gs. going to feel a prat getting on the bus with layers of m/cycle clothing on. still who cares. looks like it may now be dry sunday as well.

Chewey, it is going to be dry tomorrow but will be very slippy first thing like today, already white & slippy out there when I took my hound for its evening stroll.
If its like it was this morning wont be there on Sunday, too much money to throw down the road but if ok like last Sunday may just see you and your new ride

have collected, made it home, think the battery is a bit dodgy. started ok buy the abs lights were flashing, ran really rough at low revs, got hot running high revs and slower speed. collector box on exhaust was glowing red. had a word with a friend who works for iw m/cycles who ownes a boxer twin and he thought the low battery may have messed up the fuell injection??? my mechanical knowledge can fit on a small piece of paper with room to spare. its plugged into the optimate now so we shall see how it goes in the morning. last weekend it went really well so i'm hopping this is all the problem is. if its white and freezing on sunday i will be doing christmas stuff from the warmth of my truck

Hi ya Chewey, glad you got back ok with your new steed, am sure someone will be along to put you up to date re flashin abs etc, sure nicks does flash but cant recall when or why mind, have PM'd you

Update from Nick, his abs flashes from start up until 5 - 10 mph, he said his used to flash if the battery was low but that is always kept charged up now on a regular basis via the Optimate.
He says that he dont know anything about the collection box glowing red though, he has never noticed!

Last ride for 2007

Well it rained last night but the forcast is looking good for today, no longer raining, supposed to brighten up so may just have to get the bike out this morning and go for a little one, probably be my last one for this yr I should think.

Went out at 9am, got back just a while ago, bikes now nice and dirty, just how they should be
Were a few bikes out, reckon they are making the most of the weather today.
Had a breakfast out at the Cafe, Shanklin although I could not manage it all, ride round the coast, Milly Rd and snapped this at the Viewpoint before continuing and comin on home, lovely:

Had a jiggle about with the bikes once we got home as tomorrow its bye bye ktm, its been living in ours while its new home has been being built for the last 6 mths or so, will be nice to have the space back again

Stigo, there were no other bikes up there today either but plenty on the roads.
Up for a meet any Sunday as its the only day we really get free once we are back to work New Year You just say what Sunday and when, and then weather permitting we can be there
You say it needs a woman to sort it.....Nick! Lol! not sure how to go about getting others to show too, can only hope they read it here

no my misses chose the paper a week before christmas and expected me to get it finished last wall to do
me and a few mates should be coming over for the weekend in march if you want to meet up

Went out alone today for a ride about, just droppin my daughter off 1st at my parents as she was bored then onto Ryde stoppin at my bro's house for a chat and cuppa. Had a good feeling today riding about, think me and my beast must be bonding, got a few looks from peeps about think its cause these bikes are not so common over here are they, its mainly the power rangers on their sports bike so its something different out on the roads.
Were a few bikes about as it did start out not such a bad day but came in pretty damp and cloudy, roll on clocks change in March.

I also was tempted out today, started from Ryde to Shanklin for a cuppa then somehow clocked up over 100 mls going round in various circles and figures of eight! Glad I got a bit of road dirt on the bike it was startlingly clean when I got to Shanklin especially with the new white tank cover! Getting that Bagster cover on was a nightmare getting it to fit might be a job for life! Was nearly tempted to go to the Ace by the weather but the early start and not knowing the way led to me sleeping in - am interested in going up one fine Sunday if any Islanders are intersted.

Vectis Traveller I nearly went to Shanklin as well but thought, na, cant be arsed with it every wk anymore since I am often the only gs down there so just went out to Ryde and back, so want to see ya new bike in the flesh as well!
We tend to pop up to the Ace now and then during the better months and meet up with a few from here, nick especially loves to get off the island, he just cant be tempted out much over here as gets bored with our roads, I guess since he is driving about all day on them I can understand it a little.
Will keep my eyes peeled in this section to see when you may be poppin out there again if thats ok.
Gavin, I did give the bike a good wash last wk and today found it not too bad when I got back so slap my wrist I didnt rinse it over
The seat from Russ is cool but I hope to give that back next wk just as soon as my one arrives if you see him can you tell him,
