This book was published last month but is banned in the UK. I tried to buy it in the States last week but without luck.

Would any overseas Tosser be able to buy it for me and post it to my home please?

Many thanks.

One Man In: The Explosive Firsthand Account of the Lone Special-Ops Commando Who Fought Off a Major Terrorist Attack in Kenya
Book by Christian Craighead
This is the book that's got him into bother; led with bulldog spirit; would'nt mind a read of this myself; (y)

Is it banned in the Free State of Ireland? Apple Books ? Or any of the other platforms? JJH

From the above Wikipedia link

“After retiring, Craighead wrote One Man In, a memoir centred on the DusitD2 attack. His confidentiality agreement with the MoD required him to obtain express prior authority in writing before disclosing information about UK Special Forces. The MoD refused authorisation on 25 July 2022, concluding publication could damage national security and the operational effectiveness of UK Special Forces.”

And he published anyway, so whatever cat the MoD wanted contained is well out of its bag now.
So what’s the point of the continued ban?
And if damaging national security etc is an issue, what have they done about it?

Best thing the government could do to promote sales, ban it in the UK 😆

It would be interesting to hear the views of former colleagues who read the book on both the ethics of publishing such memoirs as well as the accuracy of some of the accounts given to events that were subsequent to the incident. :nenau

He broke no disclosure laws with this book, as he specifically withheld anything that could compromise SAS operations or selection and training that fell within the sensitive info framework, and is on record stating this. He now faces arrest if he returns to the UK as a result of publishing. They were never going to grant consent whatever the book contained, so good on him. So the advert for the MOD is now don't bother joining at all as the thanks for years of active service is arrest. The MOD are complete arses. Christian is a national treasure imho.

All of this and dont forget the UK were not best pleased with what he did that day. Given medals by all and sundry but blocked and basically sacked by UK

If you watch him on the Shawn Ryan podcast ( he has been on a couple of times ) he comes across as a very sensible humble bloke with no axe to grind and very careful about what he said about that day using phrases like a bloke who looked like me etc etc

His second appearance he did some shooting along side Shawn Ryan who himself is ex Seal ex CIA contractor and it was hilarious how Christian made Shawn look a bit ordinary

I bought it this afternoon in a bookstore in Boston.

Can't you change your location via a VPN and buy it overseas, stipulating delivery to UK ?
