I would like to know if they are of any real use space wise, i.e. can you fit your passport in there so it is easily got at when crossing the channel, or can you put change in there for tolls and easily get at it again.

May seem like a silly question but I just want to make sure it will do what I need before I purchase.

I purchased one of these a couple of weeks ago. Just came back from along week-end in Belgium with mrs dxtans. It is very good. Holds both of our passports , with my loose change and sunglasses and sweets. Easy to access. A good buy , but a little pricey.

They work OK on a GSA, for sure.

I use one for short days out when I don't take a tank bag.

HG do something similar and cheaper.

I'm sure I tried the HG one on my standard GS and there was nothing to stop it from spinning round on the bars. The TT one locates better. There are other options/versions on the same theme though. Try Nippy Normans, I think they may even do their own version?

Both the TT and the HG bag are good... both will fit on the 1150 as well.. got my TT 1200 bag on the 1150 now... slight mod needed with the clip on the bottom but no big deal - use mine for the ipod, boostaroo ect:thumb

Do these sit on top of the auxiliary light switch if it's mounted in the middle of the bars?

I am liking the look of that Wunderlich version, do you require a handlebar brace?

I see from the website that you don't need a brace, sorry for the lack of investigation there.

I think I will order one though it looks spot-on.

More room in it than the TT one, and it has more of a robust/solid feel to it. I think I got it from the Rainbow BMW website...and they take Paypal too:thumb2
No braces...

Go for the wunderlick one!! I use a brace to 'wrap' the bag's flap around and then just secrure with the attached velcro. Gave it a good coating with rainproofer and is very waterproof now. Get loads in it and very quick to remove....:thumb

The crash bars etc have all been done - but not by me, I bought it like that :thumb

It's what drew me to this particular bike in the first place - the whole black and white thing, together with the tinted screen, made it stand out from all the others I saw :bounce1

Unfortunately it also came with a stupidly sited light switch by all accounts...
