Back in May i was participating in a 2 man flush fifty clays thrown at you both in two minutes great fun.
The fore end on my Browning 725 split and could not be repaired so a new one purchased the latch and ejector cams swapped at my local RFD
£260.00 for something that they knock out on a CNC machine not hand made, i don't mind a joke but feck a pantomime.

So go and buy the CNC machine (round number £100k and same again for tooling) and buy the CAD to prepare the 3D model, and buy the CADCAM software to convert the 3D into Gcode and spend the 4 years learning to drive it all, and you’ll be all set.

I understand that but browning knock them out all day in an established factory and other components so there is economy of scale hardly a one man band.

And when said £100k+ CNC machine does go wrong. His £260 will not even cover the cost of an engineer call out. :thumb

My edgebanding machine at the workshop, cost £42k+Vat to buy new. It is one of the most complex machines that I have.
Annual service cost on this machine (excluding any parts) is just short of £1k leaving you with enough change to just about be able to buy a sugared ring doughnut from Greggs.

Give up shooting, no need to complain about the expense then when things go wrong :thumb

Why would i give up shooting? there is no alterative so they have you by the short and curlys If that was a hand made gun i would expect to pay more

I remember a plumber moaning about a Rad protector for his GSX1400 costing £120.
"It's only a bit of bent metal" he said.

I pointed out that so was his pipework, but he still asked top dollar for it.

A bit like Range Rover then. You want to be seen in one (instead of Land Cruiser) but not overly happy that it breaks down, a lot. Cost of fixing one is in equal measures, a lot :D

Don't see the connection without a fore end grip a shot gun does not work so there is no alternative, you don't have to buy a Range Rover
