The chap who got all my vynal wanted to charge me £300 so I just got the material it is not that easy but with time and patience you can do it just a lot of buggering about taking locks off ( the new lc boxes are easier than the tc )
You will need lots of scalpels and a very good hot air gun or hair dryer

Lovely job and I know how time consuming it is to get such a great finish. Now I've seen them in satin black, I'll wrap mine. What would be a realistic price to charge?

I saw a bike at Bahnstormers which had had two easy panels wrapped in black carbon fibre and they wanted £300. So I wrapped my 1200GSA (twice as I wasn't sure about the colour the first time). I wrapped it from beak to tail including the really complex 3D curves for the cooling intakes. I'll wrap my alloy panniers and see how long it takes.
Depending on price, is anyone interested?

Depending on price, I'd be interested. I think if it's too expensive I'd just buy the humvee ones with the cut outs already done. I'd prefer the whole thing done but for the difference in price it might be the better option.

Nice job fella, drilled out all the studs and replaced with bolts, i hope they are still waterproof?

I was quoted £100 per pannier so did them myself too.

I put small rubber washers under the heads. Seems okay. It's withstood several washes with a hose pipe without any problems.

Lovely job! But now one can acces the contents of your luggage by using allen key instead (unless you've got unlock nuts on the back)!? Was it difficult to drill out the rivets. I assume the new fixings are A2 stained steel?

Yes, yes and yes.

Nyloc throughout, right ball ache and only stainless will do. Coincidentally, they are different lengths to compensate for differing thicknesses being bolted together. All threads end flush with the top of the nut so they are a smooth finish.

Just spoke to them- they have done 8 or 9 of the BMW boxes thus far.
Cost I was quoted was around £380.

No, as heat will be an issue, it's an unseen area so why bother?

Yes I can wrap them for you I've done several sets for Riders in Cardiff, we could meet up and I will take the boxes from you and meet up again a day or 2 later, Riders seems as good a place as any to meet, the guys there will vouch for my work (I hope).
