I hope someone can help
I have a 1991 R100GS Paralever which has had a bit of play in the rear bevel box bearing for some time and have now decided it time to do something about it
I would like to replace the bearing myself as I’m very poor at the moment and I like to be able to do all my own repairs I have had a good look round the site and the internet and can’t find an instruction of what’s involved has anyone replaced this bearing ? And if so how difficult was it?
The Bearing and seal and the new O-ring for the job are available for about £50 or so if I can do it myself it’s a cheap repair

Thanks in advance :thumb Bob

You may need a bit of proper help with this, you will need a press to get the bearing on and off as well as some heat and a selection of shims to get the preload correct. PM me if you need some more help.

Will try & upload the pages from the Clymer later this evening Bob (going out right now). If the images are too small I'll send you them via e-mail so pm me those details in advance pse.

Don't think you'll be able to do much with these images Bob - e-mail address will be better.

Thanks for all the replies every one :thumb

I have ordered the bearing and seal and o ring today so as soon as that gets here and I have time I will make a start on it
Thanks Jim for trying to post the page from the workshop manual but your right I can’t read it
My e-mail is gbcthorpe at yahoo.co.uk if you could send me the pages by e-mail that would be great
