Got to pick number two son up from his fortnight at Geek Camp at Imperial College, Cromwell Road near to the Science Museum on Saturday.

Theres a bit of a formal presentation so it won't be a nip in nip out thing.

Is there any parking near there or would we be better parking somewhere else and getting the tube?

Help a country mouse please :thumb

put your biggest panniers on and pretend your a courier then park where you like

I'm in the car, got wife for company and then the boy as well on the way back :)

Park elsewhere and tube it.....it's 50p for 12 mins on the meters around there IIRC...

Best bet might be leave Lizzy in the car to move it and drive around the block when warden comes along and nip in quick.

NCP is cheaper but watch the minutes...you go over by 3 seconds and they'll have your kidneys out for payment :(

dont forget the red ken road tax :spitfire congestion charge that will really top your day of if you forget

Unless he goes an odd way in, he'll not touch the con charge zone...that's east of Park Lane and south of marylebone....Cromwell road is a bit west of it so it's ok. ;)

Free parking near Chiswick Park tube station on weekends which is on the district line. This area is Acton Green, and comes under Ealing. The residents parking in these roads only applies 9-5 Mon-Fri. Try w4 5hz / w4 5bp / church path / antrobus road / rothschild road etc in google maps and pick your spot. I live in this area so can tell you its OK etc. Short walk to the tube.

Checked on the car park and they want £5.25 an hour

So Chiswick Park Tube it'll be :thumb

Thanks for the advice chaps :)

There are parking meters that are free from 1:30pm on a saturday in the area. Kesington and Chelsea. It maybe not right next to the university but it is within walking or bus distance. Definitely the case for some meters round the back of knightsbridge.

I haven't been in town for so long that I have forgotton which streets has them. Maybe looking on the council website (kensington & chelsea) will give you an idea.
