Good day fellow riders. Is anyone aware of an alternative to a PDM60? I fitted a Hex EzCan to my R1250 GSA with a view to running my heated clothing from it via the heated grips. This works fine but unfortunately, when you add heated gloves into the mix the gloves don't work. This, I have been informed by Hex is because the gloves have their own heat controller. I thought , as long as they were getting a power supply from the jacket cuffs lead then they would work. Not so. All that happens when I plug them in is the controller on the back of the glove pulses/blinks red. Hex have said that what I am trying to do will never work. I also have a PDM60 fitted to the bike. This would have been my backup to wire the heated clothing through but, because I have had the unit for so long now, approx 10-12 years or so, it will no longer allow me to program the wires to raise the amps. Is there an alternative to the PDM60 that can be programmed? I have tried going back to Rowe electronics but they aren't that easy to deal with. No replies to emails and when I tried to click the link for distributors nothing comes up. I know they are USA based but still. no distributors. I'm open to buying another or even the newer amplink but just thought there may be others. I know I can just wire in direct to the battery but I don't want wires everywhere and separate "Y" cables running through my clothing.
Any help or suggestions welcome. Cheers :D

+1, Thunderbox is a decent option for the price. Used one for a couple of years..... But then a decent deal on here for a PDM 60 and I've upgraded 😁😎

I used the Healtech Thunderbox in my Moto Guzzi. The bike had a woeful level of power available (heated grips or satnav anyone?) and this little beastie did the trick. Used heated gear, grips, and seat, and a satnav without problem.

Thanks Katie. I had already come across these and wondered what they were like. Are they programmable wires or are the amps preset per wire?

Fairly basic, the unit is set to 16A or 2 x 16A total (depending which one you get - i used the higher rated version pictured). I just needed easy :)
