I dropped the engine oil yesterday on my 1100GS and noticed the smell of petrol in the thinnish looking oil. It was 10/40 but seemed more fluid than I remember. Bike has done very few miles in the last year(first baby born 
) and probably been over a year since I changed oil last. I have been running engine fairly regulary and may have left the choke out a bit too long on occasions could that be it or am I looking at piston rings ? I was intending to blast down the motorway to our house in Slovakia for a short trip at end of month (2000 mile round trip) Would it be a good idea to change the oil before i do the return trip just in case it is mixing. Probably wont get chance to sort it before I go.
