Today for the first time in 17 years I somehow managed to cafuffal fueling up my steed and fired fuel all over my bike and screen, having seen a thread on here some time ago about doing the same and there screen was knackered I was mighty pi$$ed off, but now all is fine.
I wash my bike after each outing and then a spray with mr sheen (forest fragrance smells best) dunno wether that helped and leaves a thin layer of goodness? but as soon as I did it I ran into the shop paid for fuel and 2 ltrs of evian and poured it all over screen and rest of spillage, only to be told by shop staff "idiot theres a watering can and tap there" . Riding home I couldn't help look at the marked screen and growl at mysefl for being a knob, anyway got home removed screen washed with car shampoo dried then polished for 40 mins with mer polish and
its back to normal no marks.
So if you do it dont dispare rinse asap and use some polish and elbow grease and dont forget mr sheen.
