Just spent the day in and out of the garage, due to it lashing down every half hour, and fitted my new PIAA lights I got from the States, and a new set of Hella FF50's (thanks Flipfly).

Really pleased with the results, have put a few pictures for your appraisal.

First picture just HID on

Second HID and the new PIAA 002-X lights, they are a 35w bulb which burn at 70w.

Oh and forget to say the PIAA's and the FF50's set up only cost £85 and that includes the tie wraps and some plastic stuff to cover the wires. :D

And a day to fit ;)

Blimey! You can see the difference in colour temp. with the HID bulb!

So, what do you think to the PIAA bulbs? Worth £60 as an upgrade??

Andres

Their very good! and cheap :thumb . Where did you get the spots from please. I've been looking for a good setup for my 1150 GSA and you may have given me the answer.

PS where did you get the HIDs from and then  on me

The PIAA is only in the high beam, the PIAA's on the bottom are the 35w extreme white, 60 dollars or £90 in the UK.

As it's no good running a HID on the high beam the PIAA imho is the best alternative.

HID's are from HID4U paid over a ton when I got them, there is a supplier now which Flipfly has used and his are £90 a pair for the same ones, Bargin.

The Hella FF50 are £28 + vat from Potteries Deisel in S.O.T.

Have had a set of FF50's before and new they were good, about the best value for money lamps about. :thumb

Some unused second hand PIAA 002-x for sale off Colbach if your quick ;) would have had them myself but allready order'd mine.

Mine were some custom built one's of Gazza, but I don't think he has any left now.
