Well, picked up the new bike from Chester Mororrad yesterday. Simple ride back to Rhudlan uneventful. Tried out the Drift a Ghost HD for the first time - worked a treat. Spent the rest of the day doing odds and sods on the bike and packed up my Kriega gear for the ride back to Lincoln.

Did my homework on the weather, checking out Rhuddlan, Chester, Derby, Lincoln. Fat lot of good it did me because, contrary to the forecast, it lashed it down for most of the journey and, also contrary to the forecast, some pretty high winds. Bike filthy, me just about the same. The good news is that the bike was perfect.

I have the lowered suspension and the low seat on low and, low and behold (pun intended) I could have ridden the bike all day. I've got a sore derrière now, but that's because I haven't been on a bike for 6 months. I'd bought the Gerbing heated gloves, but also low and behold, I didn't need to plug them in.

Boots, SMX5s, gave up the ghost and wet socks all the way after the first hour. Heated grips hardly noticeable. But cruise control is my new best friend, Hands off whenever I want and comfort taken to a new level. Bike never missed a beat and I thought the suspension was great compared to the Multistrada.

The windscreen will probably be replaced, okay, but not great. The pin lock on my Schuberth C3 let me down in the bad conditions. Open visor in driving rain is not a lot of fun. Looking forward to some dry riding in the not too distant future.:)

Glad you like the bike mate , also got the factory lowered suspension and low seat and its all day comfy, I left baza andalucia one morning last oct and was in the south of france 13 hrs later , Hit it with coffee breaks and fuel stops all the way up ,lovely weather all the way , the last day going for the roscoff ferry was wind and rain horizontal , it was my personal riding gear thet let me down the bike never missed a beat .1880 miles in six days.
enjoy
