So I got a price from BMW in Auckland for new bevel drive pivot bearings, £35 each!!!
Is there a bearing number that I can get it from a normal bearing shop or will I have to bend over and take it??

bend over, grab your ankles and take it like a man :D

The pivot bearings are BMW specials.

i'm pretty sure i read on this site that bmw is the cheapest source for that particular bearing, at least in the uk.

Shylocks give the price of the fixed pivot as £15.28 and the adjustable one as£9.99. Dont think that is too bad:comfort

Be interesting if they do actually last as long as the manufacturer states - and if they do, maybe they are the type for the 1% who go around the world etc:)...but way way way overpriced for replacement bearings for the masses. I'll stick with OE bearings:thumb2

If you do fit them, let us know how you get on :thumb2
