took day off today to build my pizza oven. going well till started piss rain so am pryaing to god stays up as key stone is just load small bits rammed in with mortar.

have try point bricks tomottor when dry and hope mortar is pointable but what can do with irish weather

2 options one is leave as is and smoke goes out door. But i am building another arch in front with chimney out top

Light fire in middle , heat for x hours , x is more than 2 !. Push wood off to sides , pizzas cook in approx 5 mins. Secret is NOT to use standard mix cement .... it will crack !


Put big lump of meat , well seasoned , in oven when you are finished playing pizzas , following day ............. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Fire bricks / brick is also good idea for the base , and a door is good. I brought door mechanism back home , and got recepie for cement when lived in Brazil ..... just have not got round to building it yet ...........

all built in fire brick.

outer arch be built when its dry and door be put between the 2 arches and inside the chimney.

here is dome today after removed foam forms.

looks ok but not going show you the pic of top inside as its god awful and nto happy with it at all

look rough edges, miss pointed bricks and areas for soot to gather during cooking

no but pissed rain, was after mixing the last bit fireclay i ahd so wanted finish it. should waited till weekend as looks piss poor.

also had some good news so wanted get job done and go inside

1st curing fire, bit too hot so have few cracks in render. will grind them out and re point them with fire mortar
