I am trying to tell my German friend, who has just got his license aged 52 , to learn slowly. Can anyone remember the rhyme about the old bold motorcyclist. Just can not bring it to mind but it fits what I am trying to say to him perfectly.

Regards Steve

Something along the lines of

There are old motorcyclists
There are bold motorcyclists
But there are few old, bold motorcyclists.

I might be wrong though.

I find this one sticks in the mind too;

You start off with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience.
The idea is to fill the empty one before you empty the full one.

HTH

There are old bikers, and bold bikers, but no old bold bikers

Thanks all

Perfect thanks a lot chaps. The old grey matter knew the outline but could not put it together.

Regards Steve
