I here what you are saying here and thats cool but more electronics doesn't neccessarily mean unreliable, not when you consider how much this side of technology has moved on.
I find it hard to understand why some people are so adverse to progress after all thats what seperates from us from animals

You're saying that to someone who had to replace both of his front and rear ESA suspension units......do you know how much that cost? And a non-ESA suspension set up wouldn't have made any actual real world difference to my riding pleasure. So for me, on an LC, I wouldn't have ESA. Nor would I have ASC.... I have that already and so I feel comfortable I can choose from real experience. You've certainly been hit on the head by something - its nothing to do with being adverse to progress, its about whether it is progress or pointless.

I'm not sure where you are getting this cut in power, its not a naff'in KTM - all the modes are full power 125bhp

My guess is, the base model is probably set in Road Mode. But the throttle action in enduro mode and road is about the same.

My understanding is the mode sets the damping, throttle response and level of traction control the ESA sets the pre-load. So buy the base model, or the enduro model ... Simples !

Well if that's the case I'm even more underwhelmed by the experience


The bike feels alot less powerful in enduro mode, if that is it then I don't understand all the fuss about speed etc

AS I said things have moved on but we have all had our experiences and from that we make our judgements and thats why and thankfully we are all very different with different ideas and who want a world where we all ride the same thing. In my case I would go for the TE every time for the reasons I outlined earlier, it does make a difference.
